We supply plasma cutting parts (Shield, Retaining cap, Nozzle, Swirl ring, Electrode)
We can provide the Hypertherm, Thermadyne, Kaliburn, kjellberg and Esab brand.
Part Numbers: FM.420200 (Shield Retaining Cap) & FM.420365 (Nozzle Retaining Cap)
Compatibility: Designed for use with Hypertherm XPR300 plasma cutting systems.
Product Overview
This consumable kit that ensures the structural integrity and alignment of the electrode and nozzle within the torch of your Hypertherm XPR300 plasma system.
• FM.420200: This is the Shield Retaining Cap. It is the outermost component that threads onto the torch body, securing the shield (Swirl Ring) in place.
• FM.420365: This is the Nozzle Retaining Cap. It is installed inside the Shield Retaining Cap and is responsible for holding the nozzle securely against the electrode.
Key Features & Benefits
• Precision Machining: Manufactured to Hypertherm's exacting tolerances for a perfect fit and reliable performance.
• Optimal Gas Flow: Designed to maintain the precise gas dynamics required for clean, dross-free cuts and maximum bevel control.
• Heat Management: Made from specially formulated, high-temperature copper alloy to effectively dissipate heat and extend the life of internal consumables.
• Secure Alignment: Locks the nozzle and electrode in perfect concentric alignment, which is critical for achieving a stable arc and square cuts.
• Durability: Engineered to withstand the extreme thermal and mechanical stresses of high-definition plasma cutting.
These retaining caps are compatible with the following official Hypertherm consumable kits for the XPR300:
• 220990 XPR300 100/200 Amp Shielded Consumable Kit
• 220991 XPR300 100/200 Amp Unshielded Consumable Kit
They are designed for use with the Duramax Lock™ torch system on the XPR300.

Installation & Usage Notes
1. Safety First: Always ensure the plasma system is powered down and disconnected from its air and power sources before replacing consumables.
2. Inspection: Regularly inspect retaining caps for signs of excessive wear, thread damage, or oxygen scoring. Replace them if any defects are found.
3. Proper Order: When assembling the torch, the Nozzle Retaining Cap (FM.420365) is installed first into the Shield Retaining Cap (FM.420200), followed by the nozzle and other components.
4. Torque: Do not over-tighten. Hand-tighten plus a quarter turn with the appropriate wrench is typically sufficient. Over-tightening can damage threads and distort components.
5. Synchronized Replacement: It is recommended to replace retaining caps as part of a full consumable set change (including electrode, nozzle, and shield) for best performance.
